Confession: I am a book nerd and I buy books regularly.

Confession: Just about any time I step foot inside a bookstore, I find at least one book I need to rescue.

Confession: My to-be-read collection, if stacked in a single pile would be taller than me (I am 5’6”).

Confession: I stay up way later than I intend by telling myself I’m going to finish one more paragraph, one more page, one more chapter.

Confession: I wouldn’t change a thing.

Part of curating a creative life is diving into books — fiction, non-fiction, biography, history, young adult, middle grade.

I firmly believe every book I select opens another door to a new idea or an opportunity to grow & change or to encouragement & inspiration. What better way to incorporate creativity into your life than with well-crafted stories?

And while I confess to being knee deep in books around my home, not all of those books are permanently mine. Some of them have been graciously lent to me by my local public libraries. Stepping into a library is equivalent to passing through a magic portal where thousands of new adventures await me.
